This unique album is rooted in the artist’s musical inspirations and artistic philosophy. Opening with the music of Ludwig van Beethoven and Fryderyk Chopin, Mr. Żukiewicz presents the music and cultural heritage of the modern masters Krystian Kiełb (Poland) and Jacobus Kloppers (South Africa/Canada), closing the album with a stunning work by the legendary jazz musician Oscar Peterson.

Beethoven Camerata: a conductorless professional ensemble built of the finest musicians from the Northern Colorado region, under the leadership of its concertmaster, Jubal Fulks.

The conductor-less format of this 32-member chamber orchestra is an example of democracy in action, where all members of the ensemble are given a voice in the rehearsal process and performance outcome, as well as artistic and administrative choices such as repertoire, outreach, fundraising, and direction of the group. Its members represent the diverse community of UNC faculty and graduates who live and teach in the Northern Colorado region.

The Beethoven Camerata demonstrates the incredible artistry and superb technical level of UNC’s impact on classical music performance and education in Northern Colorado.
